Android wasn’t made by Google Android was actually developed by the company Android, Inc. in Palo Alto, California. The company was established in October 2003 by founders Andy Rubin, Chris White, Nick Sears, and Rich Miner. Their reason for starting the company and developing Android was to create a smart mobile device that was more aware of the user’s wants, preferences, and location. However, despite the accomplishments of the founders and employees, they ran out of money for development. On August 17, 2005, Google acquired Android, Inc. and its employees causing many people to think Google was going to try their hand at the mobile market. The assumptions were true and in September 2007 Google reported a patent for mobile technology.
