Angels Among Us Pet Rescue Liked · 1 hr · Edited · ABSOLUTELY HEARTBREAKING!!! This senior German Shepherd girl (“NAHLAH)” was found collapsed and un-responsive in a ditch in Barrow County, GA (Winder area). Animal control was contacted and, upon seeing the severity of her condition, officers rushed her to a local vet in the hopes that her life could be spared and a rescue organization would step forward to help her. Had they brought her into the shelter, she would have likely been euthanized due to her age and the severity of her injuries. We are told that NAHLAH is so weak that she cannot stand, and sadly, she is covered in urine and feces from having been stuck in that ditch for several days without the strength to stand up. She is dehydrated. Her eyes, as you can see, show a very broken spirit. No dog should exist in such a condition, and we want to help. She had no collar, no tags, and no microchip. Her estimated age is 10. Right now, WE DESPERATELY NEED YOUR HELP. You make miracles possible. You can help in two critical ways: 1. PLEASE SHARE HER PHOTO IN THE HOPES THAT PERHAPS WE CAN FIND HER PRIOR OWNER(S). (Since she has no ID, AAUPR has given her the temporary name of “NAHLAH.”) It is ALWAYS our goal to reunite a stray/lost pet with their rightful owner, even if we have intervened temporarily to provide urgent medical care so we can save a life.
