Or do you serve many different gods? The Bible says that you can only serve the one true God, because our God is a jealous God. If you really want to be effective for Him you need to acknowledge Him solely as your Lord and God. You cannot serve two masters and expect Him to call you His people. If you want to be a companion of Jesus Christ, you cannot serve ancestral spirits and at the same time acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord. Ancestor worship is very much part of the Zulu culture, a people I love dearly. So much so, I am known as a Zulu with white skin. But when we become Christians, we cannot worship our ancestors or follow our own cultures any more (where they are unbiblical). Our culture is that of a Christian. The Lord says, "You are my people." Can you respond today and say, "And you are my God"?
