Believe me, I was grievously bitter about this new development.m In fact, immediately I got to know about this hike, I contacted my President and other Executives, we started actively deliberating on the various strategies to use to enable us ensure immediate reduction. In our extensive research, we discovered that University of Ilorin is one of the institutions that charge the lowest acceptance fee. Please dont think otherwise. We have got to know thatt the federal government has stopped remmiting the usual funds to all federal Institutions. This alone is a recent calamity faced by Nigerian education. This piece is not mearnt for that thou. You can take for instance however, OAU charges 20k, Funaab charges 45k, Unilag charges 25k, UI charges 20k for acceptance fee respectively. On this candid note, I want to re-assure all Unilorites that the Ishowo-led Administration will forever stand for justice and will never hesitate to fight any unreasonable development. Education must be free. What an obsolete slogan! But if this is a dream that can never come through in Nigeria, I say Education must be quality, affordable for and accessible to average Nigerians.
