Extremely emaciated dog found at area Temecula/Coachella (between San Diego & LA) #CA #USA Mouth was probably taped & dog just left to starve #animalabuse Its The Pits Dog Rescue We received a desperate plea from the Coachella Valley shelter today for this dog we have named Tundra. He was found in a field and as you can see, is extremely emaciated and has suffered neglect and abuse. We assume his mouth was taped or tied shut due to the nature of his wounds and his condition. He also has wounds on all his joints and on the back of his neck. We made the decision to immediately take him in as medical care is crucial to his condition. A volunteer met the shelter transport in Temecula and hes now safe at the ER and getting much needed medical attention. We do suspect he has a blockage because he is having trouble keeping food down but we are getting x-rays done and will find out more soon. He is SO sweet and he definitely deserves a chance at a better life than what hes had. He has a lot of life in him for what he looks like and he wags his tail when you talk to him.
