Annali is a happy girl. Her hamster escaped before Thanksgiving and we got her a new one for Christmas. She was cleaning and reorganizing her room today and found where her hamster had made her nest in the top nick nack drawer of her dresser. I took the drawer out to dump it in the trash and see if I could find Hambelinas carcass when Hambelina poked her head up around the second set of drawers to see what was going on. Apparently, Annali had been leaving dog food out every night in case her hamster was still around. She hadnt told anyone that something was eating it. She wasnt sure if it was Hambelina or our dog, Lilly. Hambelina is now safe and sound back in her cage. Shes a little leaner than she was a month ago and probably not too happy about her loss of freedom. But were happy to have one less rodent running around the house.
