Smith Fax: (410) 987-9087 8495 Veterans Highway Date: July 30th 2013 Millersville, MD 21108 Release Time: 0903 hours NORTHERN DISTRICT CDS ARRESTS PASADENA / LINTHICUM On July 25, 2013, at approximately 9:47 p.m., detectives from Northern District’s Tactical Patrol Unit/Tactical Narcotics Team executed a narcotics search warrant at 6422 Golden Oak Drive in the Linthicum. This warrant was in response to several neighbor complaints of drug use/activity occurring at this residence. As a result of this operation, detectives seized 17.47 grams of suspected marijuana with an estimated street value of $260.00 along with drug paraphernalia. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly. Suspect: Brendan Matthew Hewes, 18, of 6422 Golden Oak Drive, Linthicum, Md On July 25, 2013, at approximately 11:45 p.m., detectives from Northern District’s Tactical Patrol Unit/Tactical Narcotics Team executed a narcotics search warrant at 213 Homewood Road in the Linthicum. This warrant was in response to complaints of subjects at the residence dealing marijuana. As a result of this operation, detectives seized 21.41 grams of suspected marijuana with an estimated street value of $215.00 along with drug paraphernalia. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly. Suspect: Alexander Howard Evans, 19, of 213 Homewood Road, Linthicum, Md On July 26, 2013, at approximately 8:30 p.m., detectives from the Northern District Tactical Patrol Unit were patrolling the Freetown area in reference to complaints of drug activity. While conducting surveillance, detectives observed a subject that they believed was involved in drug activity in the area of Willie Johnson Lane and Huff Court. Detectives approached the subject and he immediately fled on foot attempting to elude detectives. During the foot pursuit, detectives observed the suspect throw a sandwich bag that they believed to be marijuana. After the brief foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended and taken into custody. Detectives recovered the sandwich bag, which smaller baggies of suspected marijuana packaged for distribution. As a result of this investigation, detectives seized 22 baggies of marijuana with a total weight of 24.15 grams (approximate street value $250). The suspect was charged accordingly.
