Announcement for call for bids: Dear implementers, Please see below on how to apply for funds from the Prosperity Fund (PF) for the financial year 2015-16. The Prosperity Fund (PF) is looking for project concepts for 2015-16 funding. The Prosperity Fund (PF) is the FCO’s dedicated annual fund supporting prosperity work overseas and the Prosperity Directorate Conditions for Growth: Openness, Sustainability, Opportunity and Reputation. The central programmes bidding round will include a project concept stage, followed by a full proposal stage. The concept stage ensures that Posts and Departments focus their efforts on bids which are a good strategic fit and which look likely to deliver most impact. The bidding timeline is as follows: 24 Nov 2014: 2015-16 bidding round opens for PF central programmes. 12 Dec 2014: Deadline for potential implementers to submit concepts to Posts/Depts. 17 Dec 2014: Deadline for Posts/Depts to submit concept bids to PF team. 23 Jan 2015: Appraisal of concept bids complete. Results issued to Posts/Depts. 9 Feb 2015: Deadline for potential implementers to submit full bids to Posts/Depts. 12 Feb 2015: Deadline for Posts/Depts to submit full bids to PF team. 9 Mar 2015: Appraisal of full bids complete. Results issued to Posts/Depts. 31 Mar 2015: Final contracts signed and submitted to PF team. 1 Apr 2015: 2015/16 projects commence. Please note that The Prosperity Fund (PF) will fund projects up to the value of £2m . How to apply · Detailed guidance on how to apply is contained below in the Guidance for Potential Implementers. Please read this document carefully, together with the FAQs. · Please also familiarise yourself at an early stage with the standard grant contract. · Bidding templates are provided below. The deadline for submitting project concepts to the British Embassy or High Commission is Friday, 12 December. Concept bids should be no more than three pages in length. · As a guide, we would expect project bids to be greater than the value of £80,000 to reflect the strategic nature of the Prosperity Fund and the need for high impact. · Projects should be planned so that they are implemented and completed by March 2016.
