Announcing winners of the Carithers flowers My Favorite Christmas Memory contest this morning was great fun! Here are a couple more entries that touched our hearts: Fred M. in Lawrenceville: Walking along the park by the Detroit River with my brother. The park had been lit with blue Christmas lights, including the manager scene. The Christmas tree had blue lights with a white star on top. My brother died a long time ago, but he loved blue Christmas lights. I have them on my tree and did a needle-point painting of a white Christmas tree on blue silk the year he died. Love and miss those days. William S. in Marietta: In 1968, I received a 3.5 HP mini-bike from my dad. It was a Golden Pinto model from JC Penney. I used it for several years driving around the woods of Stone Mountain. Years later, I would buy my first motorcycle in college. Riding is a hobby I still enjoy to this day. Thanks, Dad! Brenda R. in Marietta: When I was very little, I loved the little boxes of raisins. The only time of year I got them was at Christmas! Out of all the presents under the tree, I would pick out the little raisin box and carry that around with me! It is in all of our old Christmas films.
