Anointed Fool 1 Samuel 15:1 After Saul was anointed king of Israel, the first command given to him was this: now therefore, listen to the words of the Lord. Notice the first word in the quotation marks is Now. If Saul had taken heed to this one word, his whole ministry to the children of Israel could have been spared. Now is always the best time to hear God, especially when one has been anointed. Sad to say, Saul was an anointed fool and lost everything because he decided that he would hear God later.
