Anon: Hi, one of my 12-month-old twins has gone on a nursing strike quite suddenly. She has been having hysterical tantrums before naps and bedtime which is completely out of character for her. Its heart-breaking to watch her and distressing for both of us. Would be happy to wean from the breast if she wanted to, but it just went from all good to complete rejection all of a sudden. At best of times, she allows me to position her at the breast but just isnt interested in latching on. Ive given her expressed milk at mealtimes and she seems to like it, but am worried about her nutrition. Last night I even tried bottle-feeding her expressed milk, she took some, but then didnt want any more. Teething/biting/developmental phase (just starting to walk) may all be contributing factors. I keep offering the breast but am beginning to be doubtful. Would welcome any suggestions/advice. Many thanks
