Anon asks My 13 month old is still breastfeeding. I work, and she eats regular food as well, but whenever we are together she stills asks for nursies and has them at least 5+ times a day for 1 minute-15 minute sessions. She has gotten into the habit of biting me though, and hard! My nipples are bruised and sore all the time. She hasnt broken the skin, but it is still extremely painful cause she has her four top front teeth and four front bottom teeth. And man, are they sharp?! She had been biting about 5 months ago when she first got her teeth but that only lasted a couple weeks cause she responded well to being told no, ouchies at that time. I cant seem to figure out what is causing her to do this. She does it when I am looking at her, when Im not looking at her, when shes asleep, in the middle of nursies and at the end. She also laughs and gets the same look on her face that she does when she does something funny. Ive tried telling her no bites, ouchy, immediately unlatching and placing her on her feet in front of me. Ive even resorted to a little begging and pleading. I dont want to stop nursing! Especially since she still asks for them and is a bit young in my opinion to be taking a multivitamin or other supplement. Does anyone have any advice on how to make her stop? I almost dread nursies now because I know that shes just going to bite me. All of my family keeps saying Maybe shes done with nursing? Maybe its time to wean? But I really dont believe that she is. PLEASE HELP! I forgot to mention that she also pulls while she bites sometimes. Shell chomp down and pull her head away like its a piece of gum or something.
