Anon asks We have just discovered were pregnant with # 2 and were quite excited. By the time bub is born, our first will be 2 years old. We started our first in the bassinet and from about 10 months or so bed shared much of the time. Bub starts off in the cot and moves to our bed once woken. Sometimes if bub is being particularly starfish like, Ill move back to the cot (next to the bed) once asleep. Im keen to bedshare from the start for our next, but also have the option for a little comfort for me! So Im wondering how people dealt with a toddler and a newbie in bed? Placing the mattress on the floor is out, and we have a queen size but cant afford a king just yet. Im tossing around the idea of an arms reach cot, but I dont know wholl sleep in it, toddler or newbie? So Im pretty open to most other options. How do you manage two and occasionally have a nights sleep without a foot in your nostril? Who goes where? Do you ever have your newbie near another child? My toddler is an active sleeper so Id be more concerned about newbie getting a foot in its nose.... Would love to hear your thoughts! (And sorry for the essay)
