Anonymous post, can you help? Hi I am looking for some advice, my son is 10 weeks old and exclusively breastfed. He has taken the odd expressed bottle in the past but Ive been trying to wean him onto bottles the last week or so but no luck. Its not that hes refusing its just that he seems that he doesnt know what hes doing. Ive tried Tommee Tippee bottles and Avent, the teats are number 1 but I tried Variflow as well (the ones recommended when switching). My partner has tried to feed him as well but it’s not working either. I think hes not latching on properly and as a result is sucking air from outside the bottle. I use nipple shields as it was so painful to nurse in the beginning. Has anyone gone through this before and can you help me in any way?
