Anonymous question reposted by Joanne :) My child needs an advocate and he is trying to tell me now. I am his voice. His father and I are divorced. His whole life his father was so persistent in saying hes A.D.D. He needs medicine. I have fought in saying i have a brilliant kid that doesnt perform well in school and i will not medicate him. I will let him be himself. His teacher has opened my eyes. She has been so patient with him. Im doing my research. Im not very educated on aspergers, but every symptom listed brought back 1000 memories with my child. I know A.D.D. Is on the spectrum, but i know my child its bigger than one easy mis diagnosis of this. He has a different way of learning. He is Isaac and he loves his world. What is the process. Do i call his pediatrician who will not take me serious, or do i just go to a neurologist. I need them to see what i see. Im overwhelmed with emotions, I can handle him, Im use to what our routine is and what he needs, but i need people to understand him. Right now he feels unaccepted and unintelligent. His self esteem is such a factor. I will not let the world break his self esteem. I need help....please a word of advice would be great to hear
