Another Classmate has gone Home. Gerry Kennedy THOMASVILLE — Mrs. Gerry Louise (Flowers) Kennedy, 71, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2014 at the Hospice Home at High Point. She was the loving wife of B.J. Kennedy to whom she shared 13 wonderful years with. Mrs. Kennedy was born on June 26, 1943 in Forsyth County. She was a graduate of High Pont Central High School and was a former secretary and treasurer for Murrow’s Transfer Inc. for over 15 years until her retirement. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling and fishing. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a stepson, William Jay Kennedy and his wife Kim of Thomasville; a stepdaughter, Susan Elizabeth Allesi and her husband Joseph of Cary; a sister-in-law, Shirley Beane and her husband Clifford of Trinity; and many helpful friends. A celebration of life service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale with Rev. Randy Parris officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr., High Point, NC 27262.
