Another PM from a follower- Hi there I too am a recent purchaser of a TM31. Whilst I love the machine, I too am very disappointed for all the reasons were hearing about the new TM5 machine and not being told about it, despite asking. Its only natural that after seeing a 10 y.o. model in action that one would ask when the next upgraded model will be released... I sent a complaint via email on Saturday when the announcement was made to Thermomix Aust Customer Service. Here is what seems to be a generic response I (and I presume many others) received: Thank you for contacting Thermomix. Your Thermomix consultant did not know about the new product at the time of your demonstration and has been presenting the Thermomix of proven quality and value. Decisions about the release of new models are not made by Thermomix but are made by our overseas manufacturer and are confidential until Thermomix in Australia are officially notified to release such information to Customers and the public. In a direct sales system with only 1 product portfolio, new products cannot always be announced some time before they are launched. The Thermomix Model 31 is a fantastic kitchen appliance that will live up to all that you were shown at the demonstration which lead you to your purchase. You have access to a brilliant package of after-care services from an experienced Model 31 consultant and a database of thousands of Thermomix Model 31 recipes, many cookbooks, cooking classes and a wide range of accessories. Please think back to the reasons you purchased the Thermomix, as the TM31 has certainly not been superseded by the new model. Please remain passionate about your Thermomix, as it will create all those exciting things that lead you to your purchase. Unfortunately there is no trade in or trade up option. Please remain in contact with your consultant and with their experience and confidence in TM31, will continue the Thermomix journey with you. Heres what you might find interesting, I spoke with my Consultant and she said that Themomix Aust were predicting their biggest month to be September 2014 due to a new promotion and so she had given prospective customers the option to take up the August promotion or to wait and see what the September promotion would be...turns out its a little more than a promotion as we now know. I write this as a message as my Consultant is a friend and I wish to remain anonymous for her sake. I certainly dont believe their claims about not knowing about the TM5 and cant be bothered to pursue further with Thermomix Aust as they seem so unwilling to do anything about it. As much as I would love to upgrade to the TM5, I would be happy with a credit of $300 on the TM31 as offered to those with outstanding sales orders!!! Feel free to use this information as you see fit and let me know if any other avenues are successful in seeing a resolution for recent buyers. All the best!
