Another Satisfied Customer: Last night, my wife Joanne and I went to see Dr. Bens Backbone Trio at the Village Tavern in North Wales (the Pennsylvania town, not the country) play . Dr. Ben is one of the best chiropractors I know....and I know a lot of chiropractors. Fifteen years ago he saved me from surgery after I herniated a disc in my neck. I have known Ben for almost 25 years, but I never realized what an accomplished musician and performer he is. The trio played a nice mix of blues songs, with Dr. Ben on guitar and singing most of the leads. (Seth and Ross played bass and harmonica.) It was a perfect evening. We sat out on the patio, a pleasant place in very pleasant weather. The Fireball Burger was over the top. It was about 12 inches high. The big burger was topped with cheddar, bacon, and BRISKET! The sweet potato fries were the best fries I have ever had. They were crisp on the outside, soft on the inside and the perfect temperature. May I suggest the Firebird lager? Not a meal to have more than once or twice a year, but delicious. I have attached John Prine and Iris Dements version of Prines song, In Spite of Ourselves. In spite of myself (or perhaps because of my second Firebird lager) I found myself singing along with Dr. Ben as he sang one of my favorite songs. A terrific evening.
