Another amazing day with the Rainbow Shelter boys in Brasov, with the winters first snow falling. Thanks to your food donations, we fed lots of strays again. So sad that there is no way of taking them off the streets in this bitter weather. Then a hard day and evenings work at the shelter, carrying on the winter-proofing work and sneaking playtime in with the dogs. Despite Rainbow Shelters recent appeal, they have not raised enough to make all the shelter safe in temperatures which can reach -40 degrees. (It was -8 at its coldest today). Every part of the shelter is being built by hand. With no generator, we have been mixing concrete by hand all afternoon. This is life for a rescuer. Out at the crack of dawn, home at 9-10pm at night and no life it money of their own. Bogdan and Cristi are amazing in the rehabilitation, care and love that these dogs get on a one to one basis.
