[Another classic you may have missed before:] One day I attended a call about an uncontrollable dog running loose in the quiet village where I work. My colleague and I pulled up in the street and parked our vehicle. As we walked up the path towards the callers front door - I saw that he was already stood in his porch waiting for us. He pointed over my shoulder and asked; Is that your car? I half turned, about to give a sarcastic; What? The one with Police written on it? - only to observe my VW Police van rolling down the hill at some speed. I ran after it - all the while wondering what I was actually going to do if I did (or didnt) catch up with it. I failed - and had to watch as said Police van went down the hill - straight through a wall - and finally coming to rest in a little old ladys golf-green grass! The Boss clearly didnt believe that the handbrake had slipped on a brand new van that wed only been driving for two days. I was banned for a month...
