Another clear justification for our not paying for cable TV at home. With 20+ channels on the plane, one would think that one could find something, anything, to watch. Of the channels showing movies, my choices were Star Trek (I watched the first few minutes—worse than I remember. Had forgotten that the inside of the Kelvin also looked like a warehouse), Pearl Harbor (Braveheart is more historically accurate), and something with Vince Vaughn playing a schmuck (I know, what an acting stretch). History Channel never ceases to underwhelm me. Their lineup was a program on the Bermuda Triangle, followed by a marathon of American Pickers. NatGeo and Discovery also had reality TV programs (so disappointed). Forget the partisan bickering of the news networks. Didnt pause long enough to see whatever smut MTV was serving up. Ranting about the Clippers and Redskins on the three iterations if ESPN (not to mention two channel slots devoted to golf and Formula 1 racing). That left When Mother Nature Strikes Back on the Weather Channel and the eye candy of Univision. Did you know there is such a thing as a firenado? The Tiffany Network to the rescue for the final hour, with an episode of Blue Bloods.
