Another close finish at the Spartan Race Beast this weekend in Glen Rose, TX. This was a 4-man team race (our team wore American flag short-shorts!) so there were heavy tires and taller wall that we needed to complete as a team. After 1.5 hours of racing against the other top ranked team, the difference between 1st and 2nd place came down to my spear throw... which I missed!! Then we had a chance to catch Isaiah Vidal and I couldnt run fast enough to catch him- we were only 3-5 seconds behind him at the finish line - a heartbreaking finish but my awesome 3 teammates, my wife Amber and my 11-month son Joziah were very encouraging and supportive. Great job to the first place team as well - they made the race very exciting. Next Spartan Race will most likely be in Malibu back home in California in December which will mark my 1-year mark as an obstacle racer. #BeetElite #mrocarmy #HYLETE
