Another conversation with my endearingly weird son: I saw him - TopicsExpress

Another conversation with my endearingly weird son: I saw him staring into the fridge (as all teens do, often for hours at a time), take out an open Coke, and say, Thanks, Past Me. Me: What? Past Me left this pop in the fridge last night so it would be flat today and Future Me, who is now Present Me, could drink it. He takes a deep swig and I shudder, because flat pop is disgusting. Past Me is a great guy. Me: What? Past Me always has my back! Especially when it comes to snacks. Is that why you put those Little Debbie Swiss Cake Rolls in the freezer without eating any first? Exactly. I knew Future Me would prefer if they were frozen. I like when Past Me and Future Me help each other. You think this is how every family is, dont you? Sure. And that all moms talk about this stuff with their sons. What else would they talk about? he asks, honestly bewildered. Hmm. Good question!
