Another dog service provider in the news. It is so important to go and check out the facility you are bringing your pet to. There are some good ones out there...and then there are ones that make me cringe. When you drop your dog off at your daycare, do they not want to go in? Do they resist and try to stay in the car? Understanding your dogs communication with you will give you insight as to whether he is in a stressful situation or not. I do disagree with the comment by Heather in the Province article. She states that dogs only bark when they are in distress - we know thats not true. Dogs bark when they are energized, excited, agitated, alert, and a variety of other reasons. There are ways to train your dog not to bark without being hurtful and abusive.
