Another excellent and insightful analysis by Dr. Krugman. It seems to me that given the more-or-less irreversible plight of the long-term unemployed -- the Republicans should at least start to make it easy for people to commit suicide. So at least the truly miserable -- with no hope, help or viable future in sight -- can look forward to ending their lives swiftly and painlessly. No doubt leaving more largesse in society for the Republicans to lord over and promote entrepreneurial ethic!
