Another expansion of a business in Nashville is complete and a grand opening and ribbon cutting was held on Saturday at Restoff’s True Value for their outdoor power equipment. Owner Gerard Restoff says the idea to expand began many years ago and he was finally able to purchase the store previously owned by Harlan Beatty, who passed away over a year ago. Restoff said he and Beatty had been in discussion for the sale of the building, but then Beatty passed away, so, the sale took longer to go through. Once that was done, Restoff began working on cleaning and rebuilding the inside to allow for a showroom for all of the outdoor equipment. He also explains what will be available in this new expanded area, which coves mowers of all sizes and types, weed eaters and blowers, generators and other outdoor equipment, as well as items needed to keep them running well. Restoff also says they did work on the back of the store to include a new lift to allow the larger equipment to be brought into the showroom area. More work will be done, more in the area of the older store area where the outdoor equipment was, but the new part of the store is open. There is also an area dedicated to Beatty’s store with plenty of pictures of the old downtown Nashville. Restoff said he didn’t have any plans for the upstairs yet.
