Dear Clarksdale Police Dept. and Sheriffs Dept., I am so glad the emphasis this week is on getting as many people for speeding as possible. Seeing you hiding out on the dirt road next to Lee this morning filled my heart with warm flutters. And the fact that you just completely ignore the injustice, drug trafficking, shootings, and chaos that goes on in the streets across the river from you to stake out the ultimate speeding menace in this town instills nothing but pride in my soul. I feel much safer at night knowing that while I may be shot and die in a parking lot waiting for the thirty minutes it takes you to respond, I sure dont have to worry about someone coming around a curve too quickly or flying down Lee Drive.
