Another friend passed away. After a long fight, she succumbed to breast cancer. May God bless her soul and may we all be blessed with health and long meaningful age. Years ago, my best friend who died of that awful disease made me promise to take care of myself and my children, to make sure that they eat well and stay away as much as possible from junk food and all those unhealthy drinks. Her doctor told her that was what caused her illness. Today as I looked at my passing friend, I found relief that she is now free from pain but the pain stays and I was reminded once more of the promise I made to my dearest friend. I am making this status to remind myself to eat well, to make sure that my children eat well (because she specifically told me so) and to urge everyone to have themselves checked regularly... So when was the last time you had your pap smear test and mammogram screening?
