Another frustrating story this evening. One of our colony caretakers was threatened by a restaurant manager that if she did not stop feeding the cats..that he was going to poison them. This is a managed colony with 2 cats in this colony. The caretaker makes sure there is never any leftover garbage, traps and takes out any tame dumped cats, tries to be discreet as possible. It is so frustrating for all of us volunteers who volunteer 365 days a year to manage these colonies and have to deal with bullies who want to harass women. Most of the cats in this area are from an apartment complex where they allow pets and people move off and leave the cats on the doorsteps. WE have got to ALL come together and get the Knoxville Ordinance changed. WE have to do whatever it takes to stand up and make a difference for these tossed away animals that are treated like garbage. Please everyone, come to our next meeting on October the 14th and lets work together to get this done....for the cats!!!
