Another great find at a thrift store. A rotary phone! Before cell phones , before push button phones , before pagers... This was our communication with the crew desk. We had to call to get released if we wanted to go to the grocery store (if we could find somebody with a car to drive ) we keep your door to our apartment open so we could hear the phone ring if we went next door, and with no long extension cords , it was even tricky going to the bathroom!
