**Another long post alert** No one, other than my closest family and friends, knows why Ive made this decision and I most certainly am not going to defend it. Ever. I started this blog to give my side of the story- not to preach adoption or birthmothers rights to strangers. The point is- you can talk until youre blue in the face but it wont change a thing. This is MY decision. While I did take other birthmothers stories (both positive and negative) into consideration.. I will not take it as a warning or promise of whats to come. No one could possibly know what the future holds for my family. The fact that I trust the adoptive parents doesnt mean they are clouding my judgment or I am naive in doing so. Perhaps if I were uneducated or didnt know better- it could be seen as unethical being as close as we are... But not Doug and Brent. I wholeheartedly believe they are genuine people who want what most couples want. A family. 😘
