Another lovely couple from my HypnoBirthing classes have had their baby! This is a wonderful example of how HypnoBirthing can make such a difference in a mothers experience, even if there is a medical complication. This amazing mama was able to keep calm and keep her baby safe throughout. Check out this photo of her in established labour, she was 5cm open and enjoying her labour. And how gorgeous in baby E! You rock J, thanks so much for sharing xxx The first part of our birthing experience was amazing thanks to you and the HypnoBirthing techniques that we had learnt in your classes. I was at home with surges for 7 hours before deciding that it was time to head to the hospital. I was just listening to my affirmations and Rainbow Relaxations and breathing through the surges. When I got to the hospital I was told I had to have an examination to check I was 4cm dilated before I could get in to the birthing pool which I agreed to. I was 5cm already. (I have attached a photo to show you just how relaxed I was! Cant believe, looking back that I was half way through my first stage and felt so calm). I carried on breathing through my surges and was fully dilated after an hour of arriving at the hospital. Unfortunately, things didnt go so well for the second stage and spent the next 5 and a half hours trying to breathe her down but she was stuck. They let me go on for so long because they said that E was so chilled out and relaxed. I ended up having to have an episiotomy after 6 and a half hours. It was at this time I gave in to a small amount of gas and air but mainly got through it with breathing techniques. Even though the second part of my birthing experience didnt go according to plan, the first part was amazing and would like to thank you for giving me the knowledge that made this possible. I went in to my birthing with excitement and happiness and more importantly without fear, something that I wouldnt have been able to do without my hypnobirthing knowledge.
