Another new species of the Hyloscirtus larinopygion group! This is probably my favorite group of frogs. All the species are spectacular. This new species, H. condor, comes from the isolated and remote Cordillera del Cóndor in Ecudaor. Some of my most exciting moments in the field have been discovering other new species in this group. It also helps that these frogs live in spectacular places, typically breeding in and around waterfalls in pristine cloud forest.
