Another of the million reasons I love Market Basket. I shopped at the Hooksett store (#66) tonight and checked out right at closing time. After I loaded my groceries into my vehicle, I took the carriage back to the front of the store and attempted to put it in the line that was built. Unfortunately, the cart wouldnt go in, so figuring there was something hanging it all up and turned it around to put in another line. The clerk that was outside came over to see if I needed help. I looked down and saw the case of soda I left in it. So I picked it up feeling a little dumb and walked back to my vehicle. On the way, I heard hissing and looked down and saw dripping, a can burst. So the clerk went in and got some bags. I went to open the box to take out the offending can and realized more than one busted. He immediately offered to bring out another case. He did, with a smile and wished me a great evening after I thanked him probably 20 times. I looked at his name badge, it said John. 1st year. This type of service reflects very well on the training he received, reflects well on management as well as the culture of the company. This is what we fought to preserve! This is what Market Basket is all about!!! Thank you Artie T and the whole team in Hooksett for a culture worth fighting for!
