Another one of the hugely popular posts of 2014: This sort of thing happens a lot around the typewriter. People meet, and sometimes fall in love, according to the oddest similarities. For instance, this man stopped by because he loves novelty. He looks asian but is from Spain. He moved to New York just two weeks previous to work at the UN. He really didnt care what the poem would be about. I asked him what he likes, he responded, Blue skies. Just as I was beginning the poem an Asian looking women walked up, I told her I was about to write a poem, and did something completely on instinct, I simply introduced her to him, saying hes Spanish and new in town. She started talking to him, fluently, in his language, and the sparks started flying. Turns out she too, though looking Asian has Latin roots. She didnt get a poem, but he got her phone number.
