Another past foster update! This is Myka, previously known as Nyla. She was our first foster dog back in May. Poor Myka was surrendered to WCAC with another dog because they and their owner were homeless and living out of a car. It was April and starting to get too warm for her to leave the dogs in the car while she worked so she surrendered them. She was a socialization needed dog and we were told she was afraid of men (not true, but she did have trust issues with both men and women). Other than my sisters greyhounds, shes the fastest dog weve ever had in our yard and Porter could not catch her, which made for many long play sessions. She was adopted to be a companion to another WCAC alum. Thank you adopters! Were so glad you gave her sad story a happy ending. From her adopter: Myka has been doing great! Shes settled in quite nicely and loves running circles in the yard chasing her new sister Penny. She also loves giving the cats big wet kisses on the face (they arent too fond of it). And she loves to scare away those bad guys (also known as people walking down the sidewalk) by barking at them :)
