Another question from a cookie mom: Ive placed my initial order and had planned to have 400 boxes extra for booth sales, but I am being asked for reorders from girls/parents now which will deplete my booth sale inventory. I have told the troop to hold off on giving me reorders until March 5th so I can do one comprehensive reorder. Is that a good idea or should I fill those orders now? ANSWER: You are not limited to the number of times you can place reorders. Many times your girls will keep selling after the initial order deadline and will want more cookies than they ordered when they come do their initial pick up. Go ahead and fill those orders as best you can and REORDER early and often to replenish your inventory for booth sales. Of course if you have one coming up and cant get a reorder in and picked up before the sale, hold back some but keep taking orders throughout the entire cookie season! PS: eBudde just announced they are accepting reorders now so go ahead and place one if you are sure you will go through your whole order right way. My strategy is just in time delivery when it comes to booth sales. Refill orders anytime someone asks and reorder/restock in the day or two before the booth sale. The goal is to have just the exact right amount of cookies to meet the demand but not end up holding unsold cookies at the end of the season. Good luck!
