Another round of cancer tests this Friday -- PET scan, CT scan, bone scan... I remain thankful for modern medicine. The doctor is now 99% sure the prostate cancer is back somewhere (biochemical recurrence with prolonged and elevated PSA readings which have doubled). However, he deemed the disease chronic and likely not deadly within the next decade with proper treatment. Not to worry! Now the key is to find it. Extensive MRI-guided prostate biopsies in May and July did not indicate any abnormalities (vs. the first round of cancer back in 2012 when the biopsy results were positive for cancer), and bone scans last December were also negative. Mentally I am gearing up for the renewed fight and hope I can be an inspiration to any other men facing the big C, just as several of my friends have been a blessing to me. I am also thankful for my supportive family; their love and prayers keep me going. God is still good. #LiveReady
