Another so-called rape in India that never was. Some time ago there was a lot of hue and cry about two girls hanging from a tree. It was said that they had been raped and murdered. That saga comes to a close with the investigators concluding that the girls were having an affair with one of the boys who was accused of rape and put behind bars forthwith. The parents of the girls objected. The girls committed suicide. Shoddy investigation by the local police had led to suspicion that they were hiding something. That gave rise to the suspicions of rape and murder. Turns out this was just another of those rape accusations that never was.
