Another triumph of Clicktivism over Science. Cleaner energy is an admirable goal, but it cannot be our only response to global warming. Since the Number One (#1) greenhouse gas is water vapour (yup), cutting other pollution is not the most effective anti-global-warming action. Solutions for cooling the stratosphere by other, more active means have been proposed (including targeted pollution, and ocean cooling by artificially induced cloud formation). Electric cars are not a solution. Enhanced Bicycles are the future of transportation. Blue boxes are a feel good placebo that allow us to conveniently forget the two preceding Rs: ReUse, and most effective of all: Reduce. End income tax below middle class thresholds (eg: $100k in North America). Tax wealth, consumption, and externalities. Here endeth the lesson.
