Another working week and the sun shines brightly but Im on a two day week. Get in. Despite a late night and no dozing in front of the box yesterday afternoon Im not feeling too bad Today is Bastille Day and as a responsible tutorial provider Homers Education Service has some facts for you . Enjoy The Bastille was originally a fortress built around 1370 to defend Paris from the English in the 100 Years War From 1420 to 1436, the Bastille was under the control of the English. Although the Bastille was big enough for 50 prisoners there were only seven held there when it was stormed by the revolutionary mob in 1789. According to records, these were four forgers, two “lunatics” and one “deviant” aristocrat. Golf at the weekend. Played well Saturday apart from some silly errors. Didnt play as great yesterday but scored +2 with four ugly double bogies so the rest was tidy even if I didnt feel I was hitting it as I wanted Yesterday afternoon spent at the hospital as poor Julie Bedborough was having a CT scan. They filled her with barium drink and then injected her too. On the plus side I was able to read the I pad to the eery green glow she was giving off last night so saved on the leccy bill. On the plus side she should get a date through for the op soon. Despite no doze in front of the box yesterday and a late night I feel rather tickety boo. Not quite as good no doubt as my little German friend Nadine Mable who probably hasnt stopped crying yet. We were going to offer her English hubby Stu Mable sanctuary at ours if they had lost. Not sure the man could have coped with that devastation A true friend is one who thinks you are a good egg even if you are half-cracked. Rob Dickman thinks Im the full omelette. Got my drinking head on for a messy night at the races and watching Status Quo. Cant wait for them. Should be a beer filled epic. Thursday already deleted from the history books although Julie seems to have booked a sparky for 8.30 that day. Grounds for divorce with a monster hangover surely? Much to do as a recruiting superhero and no time. In ready to deflect incoming and have my own mortar shells primed to keep the enemys heads down until I slip out tomorrow. Have a spiffing start to the working week and stay safe and alive. I find breathing regularly is a good starting point. Have fun. Homer out
