Anthony - your method is awesome. Saved me a bunch of time in comparison to the normal process of clip/clip to trim/file/Xacto shave/progressive sand to finish. What really made the difference, I finally found my tweezer-style sprue cutters, which are probably as sharp as comparable Xuron or Tamiya cutters, and I had a nice fresh Xacto blade going on. But the close clip combined with Xacto shaving and fingernail rubbing did the trick. Heres the results for reference with a comparison to a visible nub from last night, which was given the prior treatment. The results are on or close to the same. This is also with a CFL bulb shining directly down on the part from about 3ish feet up, so chances are these wont show up after topcoating. (inb4 just paint the whole thing) Also >mfw I did the prime->gloss base->Alclad on the piston only to have only about 1cm ever show :-(
