Antique car parade set for July 27 The Jerry E. Moore Memorial 59th Annual Antique and Classic Car Parade has been set for July 27, rain or shine. Cars will be on display and judged between 8:30 a.m. and noon at the Hamilton West Shopping Center. At 1 p.m., the parade will proceed east on Main Street to High Street and turn right on Pleasant Avenue. From there it will proceed to Symmes Road, where it will turn left to Fairfield Crossing shopping center. Cars will be on display at Fairfield Crossing until 2:30 p.m. Cars will then return to Hamilton and the Butler County Courthouse. At the Courthouse, the Fort Hamilton Jazz Band will begin performing at 2:30 p.m. until the awards presentation, which begins approximately 3:30 p.m. The lead automobile will be a 1954 Packard Caribbean convertible owned by former Butler County Coroner Richard P. Burkhart. Only 400 Packard Caribbeans were manufactured that year, and at a list price of $6,100 was among the highest priced cars of the time. The parade is open to all American and foreign vehicles 1896-1988 in restored or original condition. Pre-registration is free, or $10 on parade day.
