People may not be at ease about the big bushfire around Lake Macquarie, the Blue Mountains and the Southern Highlands in NSW, but the link between the bushfire and climate change has caused much public debate. Tony Abbott has told Sydney radio that climate change is not a factor in the New South Wales bushfire, reported by AAP. But there are many different opinions on this. Ms Figueres comments on Tuesday on CNN made world headlines, saying bushfire were “absolutely” linked to climate change and that the Abbott government would pay a heavy price for walking away from a carbon price.
