Any death, no matter the cause, can feel violent, confounding, and can leave loved ones left behind with an overwhelming amount of questions and guilt. When as a society we judge how one lives their life and how one takes their life we are muddying up the beauty of our life lessons to each other. We all have served as cautionary tales to each other, taken misdirected paths. These tales are not to be judged but to be learned from. We are to hear these stories and remember our humanity. Not one better than another but all of us loving, supporting, and empathizing to decrease the feelings of isolation that often accompanies us in this world. If anything can remind us of our commonality, it is death from this world. We all will meet it eventually. And at that time no matter the form our death takes or the life we lived, Im pretty sure we would want our loved ones to hear about the good we brought to this world, to feel loved and supported, not on the defense.
