Any time I remember this 10 years ago efforts in futility, Im sad within me and tears rolls on my cheek: my blood brother, a brilliant one indeed was the only one in 2004 from Oyo State who was admitted to the Nigeria College of Aviation, Zaria and of course, the only indigene of Kajola LGA. The whole Amosun family as at then could not raise the two years course fee which was approximately #2m so we sought for from Aso Villa while Baba Iyabo wasnt around 3 times, the the commissioner for Education, now late; Dr Abd-Jeleel Amoloye (a native of Igboho), under Gov Rashidi Ladoja didnt come to our aid. We have to go to the then KLG caretaker comt chairman, Hon (Barr) Gabriel Olajide Ojolowo but he frankly replied that they were not bn given huge fund by d state so, he didnt help, Jbo; Joshua Bolatito Olalere announced it freely for us then repeatedly in Okeho News bcos I was among d editorial crew but do you know what? Despite d phone nos and bank acct nos included, no single person call nor send anything. Our dad was a strong member of ODA but nothing came out of it. Had it bn, he was rallied round and sponsored, the would have bn Pilot-Engr should have today become a channel of academic, financial and the likes beneficial to others not only to Amosun family, but anyone and anybody. Im realy and realy sad men! Hes anyway, an OAU engineering graduate today! We are notwithstanding grateful to God for that though...
