Any true musician is a shaman at heart. Not even just musicians, any type of art, be it writing, drawing, or just plain speaking, art connects the spiritual soul of humanity with our shared universal pains of physical reality. Shamans heal by first becoming sick, so as to properly identify sickness in others, also contacting the metaphysical world of spirit in order to gain wisdom and understanding pertaining to our place in the universe. For those who wish to see shall obtain true sight, those who prefer ignorance and deception over clarity of perception also possess the freedom of choice. This is what is meant by "free-will." We have the power to choose our actions, dictating our relative experience, though not much more. All paths lead to the same end, for we are of a universal, eternal and transcendental higher soul. One must become humble before the magnificence of creation, though keep in mind the suffering of existence, working towards the eradication of this concept. If all one does is listen to others without any point of reference from their own life experience, there is no room for progress, for the gears have never been pushed into motion. No voltage, no current flow.
