Anyone else think parents should be offered tutoring in the new math? I have now learned at least 3 ways to divide! I worry about the students whose parents are not able to relearn math easily. Is there an online parent/teacher tool that we can access? It would also be helpful if the class work was brought home (hopefully correctly done) so that we can reference it for homework. Unfortunately, notes are not always taken/given. Often my child tells me its okay if I dont get the homework correct because we will go over it during class. I have a problem letting her complete an assignment where she may be making the same mistake repeatedly rather than stopping her and having it correct it. Of course Im the mom that wants it done correctly.
