Anyone have an other child who is blind and Autism? I have a concern about placement for my 10 year old. He was with an amazing teacher last year (warm and fuzzy but professional genuinely cared for my son, tons of communication, parent involvements,spirit days, fun parties) and has moved on to middle school/junior high its much more serious no cute fun activities, class parties, etc. I am not liking this transition.. not because I dont want to let him grow up but because he enjoys fun activities, music, class parties, parental involvement. He is not going to be age-appropriate and Im totally ok with that. I plan on speaking to the principal and hoping to get him moved to his previous classroom.
