Anyone heard about the drama in Counter Strike (cs:go) lately? A bunch of pros from the best teams in the world got rekt (banned) for hacking. Not a false positive or anything, they were legitimately cheating and got caught by VAC (an automatic system). Thats one of the reasons why the only game that I can take somewhat seriously is HoN. There are simply no cheats. The most you could get is maybe modifying camera distance but that practically does nothing (sure you can see more but it is also harder to click on things). Compare that to being killed across the map within a second of seeing your enemy and you can quickly see why I get upset. I just cant take a game seriously when I can just go download some hacks and play for weeks without getting banned. I just cant, it sucks all the fun out of the game for me. Thats the reason why first person shooters will never be anything more than a few hours of fun for me. If the best of the best competitive players are cheating, whats the point of me even trying to be competitive? Id rather do that in a game where Im confident that my skill is what matters most and not how much I pay to my cheat provider to remain uncaught.
